Rosberg hit by early engine-change blow
|
Nico Rosberg will drop ten places on the grid for Sundays Japanese Grand Prix because of an engine change on his Williams.
With current regulations requiring engines to last two events, Rosberg had been due to run the same Toyota V8 that powered him to sixth place in Belgium two weeks ago.
However, a problem with that unit means he will use a fresh engine for qualifying and the race at Fuji, hence he will be demoted ten places on his qualifying position.
Rosberg lies ninth in the driver standings with 15 points - two more than team mate Alex Wurz - having scored at the last four Grands Prix.
