FIA publishes full McLaren transcripts
|
The FIA has released full transcripts of the two World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) hearings, which took place on July 26th and September 13th, concerning the McLaren-Ferrari spy scandal.
At the original hearing in July, the WMSC found McLaren in breach of the International Sporting Code through their possession of confidential technical data belonging to rivals Ferrari but opted not to punish the team after it decided there was no proof that the data had been used.
The emergence of new evidence prompted a second hearing, which was held in Paris last week.
The transcripts were recorded by a professional stenographer and formatted by an independent transcription company. They were then sent to Ferrari and McLaren to allow the teams to redact any confidential information.
