Concert set to rock Australian Grand Prix
|
Organisers of the Australian Grand Prix have devised an impressive programme of events to accompany the on-track activity in Melbourne this March. The festivities, which will include a rock concert, will provide ticket holders with four full days of entertainment over the race weekend.
Every year we have sought ways to build on and improve the Grand Prix experience, explained Tim Bamford, CEO of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation. We want people to come to this years Grand Prix and leave with memories that will last them a lifetime.
The programmes main attraction will be a performance by top New Zealand rock band, Evermore. The concert, which will be free to all Grand Prix ticket holders, will be held immediately after the race at a specially-built entertainment stage located in the circuits golf course precinct.
For the clubbing set, last years sell-out event Party under the Palms will also make a return. Held in Traction, the circuits exclusive party zone, it is expected to feature top Australian DJs, including dance act Sneaky Sound System.
The 2007 Australian Grand Prix will take place in Melbourne on 15-18 March.
