Rain and hail hit Ferrari test
|
Ferrari made little progress in Italy on Wednesday after poor weather conditions disrupted their second day of testing at the Vallelunga circuit, north of Rome. As a result, the team will now extend their planned three-day session into Friday.
Wintry showers meant Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen only managed to complete a total of 51 laps. Massa put in 31 of those in the new F2007, with a fastest time of 1m 18.767s, while Raikkonen covered 20 in last years 248 F1, with a best of 1m 22.299s.
Ironically, Ferrari had moved this weeks test to Vallelunga after forecasts had predicted poor weather for their intended venue of Mugello.
