|
Ferrari are showing no let up in their determination to get back on terms with rivals Renault and McLaren. Despite this weekends Hungarian Grand Prix following hot on the heels of the Hockenheim round, the world champions were back pounding the Fiorano test track on Tuesday.
Official test driver Luca Badoer was the man at the wheel of the F2005. The Italians programme focussed on Bridgestone tyre development for the remaining races of the season. He completed 93 laps, including 20 on the short version of the track, with a best time of 57.519s.
Conditions at Fiorano were extremely warm, with track temperature reaching a scorching 52 degrees Celsius. Ferrari and Badoer continue work at the circuit on Wednesday and are expected to conclude the session on Thursday.
Following the Hungaroring race, all ten teams are expected to observe the traditional summer testing ban, with the next major session scheduled for Monza in the week following the inaugural Turkish Grand Prix on August 21.
