Welcome back to the Nurburgring and race day at the Grand Prix of Europe, round seven of the 2005 world championship.
There are some locals who are adamant that it is going to rain at the Nurburgring at some stage today, but equally there are others who say it wont. From the look of the early morning sky it appears unlikely - just a little more cloudy than yesterday - though it is very warm already and the ambient temperature is well on its way to 30 degrees Celsius.
The 5.148 km circuit is largely unchanged since 2004, when Michael Schumacher took pole position for Ferrari in 1m 28.351s and won the race the following day. He also set the lap record at 1m 29.468s.
The race will run over 60 laps (308.863 km) and will start at 1400 hrs local time, which is two hours ahead of GMT.
