The dates of the of the 2006 Chinese and Japanese Grands Prix have been swapped and will now take place on October 1 and October 8 respectively.

The change was announced by the FIA on Wednesday, following the agreement of the two countries’ national sporting authorities, the FASC (Federation of Automobile Sports of the People’s Republic of China) and JAF (Japanese Automobile Federation), and the approval of the FIA World Motor Sport Council.
