Alonso fine after Brazilian crash
|
Fernando Alonso has been released from Sao Paulo's Saint Louis hospital and is now back in Europe preparing for the San Marino Grand Prix. The 21-year-old confessed that his accident in Brazil, in which he crashed into debris from Mark Webber's Jaguar, was the worst of his career.
"I still feel a bit dazed, but I'm lucky to have got off so lightly," said the Spaniard. "It all went so quickly. I couldn't avoid the tyre that was in the middle of the track, and I just remember hurtling towards the wall." The Renault driver now only has a sore knee, and will be fit for the next race in Italy a week on Sunday.
