Sunday weather - wet race in prospect
|
After the rain that was forecast for raceday arrived a day early yesterday, everyone is preparing for a wet Japanese Grand Prix this afternoon. The ambient temperature is expected to reach almost 27 degrees Celsius (80 Fahrenheit) later, and humidity is very high. Conditions at present are overcast but sweltering.
There remains a 70 percent chance of rain as thunderstorms are still in the Suzuka region. It seems inevitable therefore that the 2003 FIA Formula One World Championship will be decided with a wet race.
